Award Consulting Inaugural Golf Day 2008
The first Golf Day hosted by Award Consulting took place on 22nd May at
the picturesque Foxbridge Golf Club in Sussex. The Giants of the Construction Industry were represented , with key figures
in attendance from:
- Balfour Beatty
- Morgan Ashurst
- Norwest Holst
- ROK
- Kier
- Buxton
Also represented were specialist fit out and joinery company Raphael Contracting and Construction Law specialists Shadbolt & Co.
Beautiful sunny weather, hot bacon rolls and warm hospitality welcomed the 18 golfers before they teed off in six teams for 18 holes of stableford competition golf.
Light hearted competition was the order of the day with the emphasis on enjoyment, relaxation and networking. The golfers were kept well refreshed with cold drinks from the hostess for the day Kate Hughes, who roved the course in her golf buggy delivering well earned cold drinks, encouragement and general mickey taking!
After 18 holes the golfers retired to the 19th hole for a buffet lunch and prize giving.
The day can be summed up as a roaring success and special thanks goes to Tom Redfern, Kate Hughes and Jayne Bryant for their organisational skills.
